CRYC Facility Supervisor - Kayla Waddell
Kayla is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Along with her passion for helping the youth, Kayla is very active in her church. She has the heart and passion for helping youth through their most challenging time in life and looks to her favorite scripture to help her with that: Jeremiah 29:11. Kayla has a heart ofr God and loves to spread His Word to the ones God has placed in her path.
CRYC Exective Director - Susan Hicks
Susan is co-founder and former Board member of Cross Roads Youth Ranch. She has a Masters degree in Education. She is a retired teacher working 28 years with at risk, behavior problem students in grades 1st-12th. Four of her teaching years were as a satellite teacher at Glen Springs Academy Boy's Home, a level 3 group home. Her goal was to get the behaviors under control, so the boys could go back to regular high school. She used Equine Therapy to accomplish that goal. Now, in retirement years, Susan and her husband, Jim are Mobile Missionaries serving the Lord by volunteering their time, skills, and resources at Christian maintenance, landscaping, sewing (Susan), and electrical work. When at home they are very active in their church. "Ponder anew what the Lord can do".
Board of Directors
Mike Freehling – Mike currently serves as president of the CRYR board of directors. With a heart for Jesus and the children served at the ranch, Mike is very giving of his time and resources to benefit the ranch to its greatest potential.
Mark Wilson – As a founder of CRYR, Mark felt called to help teens overcome struggle and develop skills to achieve success. Mark has over 40 years of business ownership and a love for what the horses and outdoors are able to provide in the way of healing for troubled hearts. Mark has a heart for Jesus and the children served at the ranch.
Richard Chance – Richard is a US Navy veteran and has served as treasurer in the past for the CRYR board of directors. He brings many years of business knowledge and is a copyrighted photographer. Richard has a heart belonging to Jesus and his passion for the ranch lies in spreading a message of hope and love to the children we serve.
